Evan Dorrian has been playing the drums since around age 10 and began playing professionally at 14. He holds a Bachelor of Music, Jazz Performance from the ANU. Over the years Evan has amassed considerable experience as a sideman in many styles and also in approaching original music in projects such as Spartak and Pollen Trio. With these bands he has played and toured throughout Australia as well as parts of South East Asia and the UK. Evan has had music he is involved in released on national and international record labels and has also received radio play nationally and internationally.

Evan has been teaching the drums since he was 18 and has taught students of all ages across many styles, he has also had students go on to study at a tertiary level. Primarily Evan is concerned with helping students develop an identity on the drum set and a freedom of playing which allows for expression, as well as being able to play a solid role in any musical situation.
