Bjorn Pfeiffer

Born in McClaren Vale, South Australia, Bjorn studied music from an early age, first with the trombone, transitioning to tuba at age 12. In 1997 Bjorn commenced studies with Peter Whish-Wilson (Principal Tuba Adelaide Symphony Orchestra) and continued his studies with Craig Cunningham (Queensland Symphony Orchestra) in 2005.

In 1997 Bjorn joined the Australian Army Band Adelaide and has since enjoyed postings to Brisbane, Wagga Wagga and Canberra. He is now the Brass Group Leader at the Band of the Royal Military College. Bjorn has toured around Australia, Turkey and Switzerland during his time in the Army.

Bjorn has also performed with the Adelaide and Canberra Symphony Orchestras. Bjorn has been a School of Music faculty member since 2011.
