Damien Slingsby is a graduate of the ANU Music school and is a professional Pianist, Vocalist and Accompanist. During his time at ANU he studied Jazz piano with John Black, Mike Neelson and Paul MacNamarra. He was also fortunate to have studied vocals with the great Gerry Scott.

Some highlights of past few years include performing at the 2011 Glastonbury Music Festival; playing with Ethiopian jazz musician and composer, Mulatu Astake; performing at festivals and venues in Germany, France, Turkey, Ethiopia and the UK; regular performances at Bennetts Lane in Melbourne and at the Wangaratta Jazz festival. Damien has also worked as a session keyboardist and vocalist for a number of commercial recordings.

Damien has been teaching Jazz and Contemporary Piano and Voice for over a decade. His method includes physiology and technique, psychology of performance, developing musicality, advanced improvisation skills, writing original compositions and arrangements and developing a professional repertoire and work ethic.
