Part of the 2nd Australian International Chopin Competition hosted by the ANU School of Music, Pleyel Day includes two sessions involving performances and lectures utlising the School's historic Pleyel Grand Piano.
Session 1 (2pm - 3:30pm) will feature a lecture by ANU academic, Dr Gemma Betros, lecturer in European Studies. This session will also feature a chamber music performance and a brief introduction to the School's historic keyboard collection by ANU School of Music academic and well-known conductor, artistic director and keyboardist, Dr Erin Helyard.
Session 2 (4pm - 5pm) is a recital of the Complete Preludes of Chopin by visiting international juror Wojciech Switala (Poland). The recital will utilise the School's historic Pleyel Grand Piano and will feature an introduction by Dr Stephen Loy (ANU School of Music).

Full day passes (entry to both Session 1 & 2) will be avialable at the door prior to Session 1.
