Stephen Cleobury, Director

Since the 15th century, the vaulted arches of the chapel at King’s College Cambridge, have helped to shape the distinctively pure tone of this special choir. The 16 boys (the youngest aged seven) and 15 men who pass the highly competitive audition process commit to singing daily religious services: few ensembles can boast such frequent performances to hone their unique musical character. Acknowledged as the peak of choral excellence in the great British tradition, the Choir will perform a selection of favourite classics and sparkling new repertoire. Among the highlights is Fauré’s timeless and touching Requiem, accompanied by the College’s Organ Scholar; and a nod to their history in English works from their Tudor beginnings through to the present day.
