BigGiG concert to be live-streamed to the world stage

TEST WEBCAST LINK NOW AVAILABLE. Join us on the 29th October 2010 for the second event in the ANU School of Music’s Streaming Sounds Series, The BigGiG: A Singing Odyssey.

This concert will feature over 1200 children from 11 schools in the ACT gathering in Llewellyn Hall at the ANU School of Music for a song celebration during National Children’s Week.

We encourage school and community groups to learn the songs in advance by downloading the sheet music and audio provided on the Streaming Sounds Website. Online viewers will have the opportunity to let us know they’re watching and send us comments to share with the live audience.

When: 29 October 2010, 11:30am – 12:45pm

Where: Visit the BigGiG Streaming Sounds Website and follow the Webcast Link. Here you will also find downloadable sheet music and audio of the songs to prepare for the concert [www.music.anu.edu.au/streaming-sounds/BigGig].

Calling all Schools! Participate in our trial videoconference practice sessions

As an exciting and new initiative this year, the ANU School of Music is offering pre-event interactive sessions to schools around Australia and New Zealand delivered by videoconference. Led by our expert MEP (Music Education Program) team, these will be offered FREE to both teachers and class groups, as part of the School’s series of virtual trials. This will include the opportunity to meet other participating school groups around the country in a ‘Meet and Greet’ videoconference session prior to the concert.
