The Bachelor of Music is based around four core areas of study: Music Performance; Composition, Arranging and Sound Design; Musicology (including Ethnomusicology) and Music Technology.
The Bachelor of Music Honours is characterised by the concept of music—be it performance, composition, or musicology — as a research-led process that explores questions relevant to our understanding of what it means to be human and of who we are.
What does music mean? Who is it for? And what might be its future? We're not looking for students who know the answers; we're looking for students who ask the questions.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) postgraduate research degrees are available.
The Graduate Certificate of Studies is a flexible option for graduate studies at ANU for students whose needs are not met by following a program of study in a single academic discipline.
