The School of Music, Australian National University (Canberra), will host a study day on “Current Work in Film Music / Sound Studies” on Saturday 9 May this year. The program will feature keynote talks by James Wierzbicki (University of Sydney) and Philip Brophy (Melbourne), and a panel discussion chaired by Peter Tregear (ANU).

This study day, which we hope will be the first of an ongoing series of such events, will provide a forum not only for finished research, but also for work in progress, and postgraduate students are particularly encouraged to participate.

Students, staff and members of the community are most welcome to attend. Morning and afternoon tea will be provided, lunch can be purchased at local cafes (within walking distance of the School of Music).

Registration is free, but please RSVP to Liz Kertesz by Tuesday 5 May (for catering purposes) on <ekertesz@unimelb.edu.au>.

Peter Tregear (School of Music, Australian National University); Michael Christoforidis and Liz Kertesz (Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne); James Wierzbicki (Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney)
