New York jazz musician Joe Farnsworth is regarded as one of the top jazz drummers in the world, but as far as he is concerned, he is just getting started. He is dedicated to the great tradition of jazz drumming conceived by artists like Max Roach, Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones, Billy Higgins and Arthur Taylor.
Farnsworth is one of the most respected drummers on the New York jazz scene, appearing on more than 70 albums and sharing the stage with musicians such as, Wynton Marsalis, Cedar Walton, McCoy Tyner, Pharoah Sanders and Diana Krall.
Farnsworth will be coming to the School of Music with his Prime Time Quartet to host a workshop for School of Music and Open School of Music students.
