Australian Composition
Research on Australian music at the ANU School of Music reflects an aspect of the broader focus of much humanities research at Australian National University, that of building an understanding of Australia's culture, history and place in the world.
Collaborative research between Australian composer and pianist Professor Larry Sitsky (at the School of Music since 1966), postgraduate research students and staff at the School of Music has lead to a gathering body of Australian music recordings and scores, many made available to the wider public for the first time.
Recordings of Australian compositions on the Anthology series are available for order through the School of Music. Scores and critical editions - including previously undiscovered manuscripts – are published and distributed by The Keys Press. Please follow the links below for more information.
